Typical Report Designs
- Full report – Complete narrative report consisting of an
introduction and statement of objectives, detailed methods
section, findings displayed as tables and charts with
explanations under each, summary of findings in narrative form
and finally, conclusions and recommendations for action to
improve services or image of the company or organization
- Focus group report – Fully narrative report with
introduction, statement of objectives, detailed methods section,
summary narrative report of focus group session(s) with quotes
from participants, conclusions and recommendations which result
from the focus group information
- Top-line report – Report consisting of tables of
frequencies from the study developed in SPSS, Word or excel
- Banner report – Tables of findings for each question sorted
by demographics or other variables – up to 20 sorted columns or
banner points per table
- Data on disc or via internet – Clean data set delivered via
disc or internet either in SPSS, ASCII or Excel format
- Methodological report – consisting solely of detailed
methods report including response rates using the AAPOR response
rates tables, which are standard for the industry
